Earl Thompkins

The President of 4T's Computers had over twenty-five years of experience in electronics and computer maintenance when he started the company in June 1996 in his home. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Technology and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Systems from Troy University. In July 1997, the company moved to a 600 square feet store front at 3350 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Georgia. By October 1998 the company was incorporated, and had moved four doors down in the same shopping complex with 600 square feet of store front and 600 square feet of computer repair area. In January 2000, a second location was opened in Daniel Village with three technicians. The business expanded to installing networks, setting up maintenance contracts, and performing onsite maintenance. The company moved into bidding on contracts with the local, state, federal governments, and private businesses. In August of 2004 the company established it’s Head Quarters at 592 Bobby Jones Expressway in Martinez, Georgia. At that time the company organizational was restructured into 4 teams, Bids Team, Networking Team, Remote Teams, and Computer Repair Team. The company has now settled into increasing business sales and service, and bidding on regional contracts. Future expansion will consist of exporting this team concept throughout the southeast.
